Ceramic Artist, Randy Au, established the Flying Cup Clay studio in 1987. His "Vegetable Series" of vessels combine the whimsy of slipcasted natural forms with the opulence of colorful and lustrous painterly glaze decoration.

He participated in the emergence of the Santa Ana Artists' Village project in the early and mid. 90's and has been ceramics teacher and Assistant Director of the Visual Arts Conservatory at the Orange County High School of the Arts in Santa Ana since 2002.
